I don't know why I'm so taken with this photo. I took it two days ago at the golf course. Then I played around with it a little and got a couple of images I really liked. I think it's the softness of the butterfly or moth against the steel of the golf club. And the colors I love, too. As I played around with saturating the color, I got some fantastic colors. I don't really understand how all this works. I just love it. I am

A Popular One
This was such a popular photo on Facebook that I decided to post it on here. This was taken a few days ago on a day when it was such a beautiful, wonderful day that we opened all our windows and enjoyed the nice breeze and sunshine. I guess when I went back in to tweak my photos I took that day, I just felt so happy that I went for all the color I could get on this one. This was just for fun. I got so many happy comments about it that I guess I wasn't the only one who thought it was fun and happy. Hope there are some of you who didn't see it on FB who enjoy it here! Happy Monday!

Something Really, Really Different!
Today was a really exciting day around here because something very rare happened - it snowed! When I first looked out the dining room window to see the snow, there was a bluebird in the tree outside the window. So I grabbed my camera and just shot a photo really quick (manually setting it but forgetting, once again, to check my white balance which was set on inside light) so. . . the blue everything . . . blue bird, blue tree, etc. I started to delete it but then decided to play around with it on the computer and this is what I came up with and I kind of like it. It looks more like a drawing or painting than a photograph.
I took other pics of the snow but I don't think it was in the cards for me to get a good photo of the snow. It was just such a rushed day. But it was a good day.

The Abstract Again
Since I had no time to post a new photo today and I committed to post one every day of this year *sigh*, I decided to bring this one back up. No one tried to guess what this is but, surprisingly (to me), it is aluminum foil placed on a pan. The pink comes from Paige's pjs reflecting on it. She was sitting on the counter beside it. It looks much softer than aluminum foil to me. It looks like fabric. I played around with the color a little.

Color Saturation
This shot was how our day started - art, art, art!! Paige-ee-Poo and Paw Paw colored together - a beoootiful rainbow, sunshine, and Paw Paw even drew an airplane up in the sky.
I am completely shooting manually now (except for auto focus) and really enjoying it and learning a lot plus getting faster with it. You have to be fast with a 2 yr. old!
This top shot is straight out of the camera.
I'm also playing around with editing on the computer. The above shot I just brightened up a little. I like it a little better. Do you?
Then tonight for the first time, I pumped up the saturation as far as it would go and I REALLY like it! Which of the three do you like? I would really appreciate your input. Thanks.
