Color

Wowee! Some color on this winter day! This was a Christmas gift, too, from my mother-in-law and I love it. I've always loved these plants but never had one. It's called a Croton and it variegated and that's all I know so I need to read up on how to take care of it. I just love the colors. They look so tropical. Still sick but feeling a little better each day. Today was a babysitting day but my dear hubby, God bless him, stayed home today to help :)

  1. I'm pretty good at outdoor plants, having landscaped a few years, but stink at the indoor, most often forgetting to water them, so can't give you any tips. I think crotons are pretty easy though, unlike ferns, ficus & african violets. The color is lovely, perfect for extending the holidays beyond green & red.

  2. Great picture! I love the colors, too. Sorry it has taken so long for me to get back with you. McMama is unfortunately not a personal friend, however, she would be lots of fun. I came across her blog by way of Elizabeth's (my college roomate) Not Me Monday post. I have yet to do one of those, but still want to. Anyway, McMama is interesting...strong faith and love for God, no TV (that's right!!), great pictures always, 4 kids under 4, she doesn't like to use commercial diapers, etc. I could spend hours reading her old posts. I got addicted when Stellan was still in the womb and her family was just literally trusting God for each day with him. I could go on and on, but I'll spare you. Hope you feel better soon! You need to get Emily in on blogging, too.
